Physical Education is an essential element in the curriculum. It not only helps to develop the child's physical competence but it also helps to develop confidence and social skills. The girls are taught by a PE specialist from Reception to Year 6.
In Key Stage 1 the emphasis is on skill development and simplified mini games.
In Key Stage 2 skills are refined and improved and applied to game situations. A variety of sports are taught including netball, hockey, rounders, tennis and athletics. Inter house netball and rounders competitions are held annually. An emphasis is put on co-operation, sportsmanship and tactical development as well as promoting positive attitudes towards active and healthy lifestyles.
