FIRST LEGO League Challenge Trophy Success

Congratulations to our amazing STEM Club girls who won a prestigious FIRST LEGO League Challenge trophy at the regional tournament held at Queen Mary University, London on Saturday!

The girls, consisting of Year 7 pupils Holly and Isabella and Year 9 pupils Kashvi and Sarah, made three presentations to industry experts and participated in a gruelling robotics and coding challenge in front of a large audience. They were awarded the prize for ‘Best Project’, including their space suit invention to repel harmful radiation to astronauts on the surface of Mars. This is a fantastic achievement for all involved, very well done girls!

The FIRST LEGO League Challenge is a global robotics based life skills competition for young people. The 2018/19 FIRST LEGO League season is called INTO ORBIT and requires students aged 9-16 to explore, challenge and innovate in the demanding and inspiring expanse we call space!
